Participation in professional, local, state, national, and global learning communities.
Teachers consistently share and modify ideas from other teachers; a simple Google search can get an educator almost anything that they are looking for from project ideas, to lessons, to even entire unit plans. However, it is also the job of a teacher to share and explain to other educators what they have discovered. Hiding ideas and preventing others from hearing about it will not lead to any new innovations or discoveries in the education field. Ultimately, teachers are there to do what is best for the students; discovering new ideas and ways of doing things through sharing on a local, state, or even national level will only continue to improve the state of schools everywhere.
